Website policy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information this website collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Last updated July 26, 20261. Who this policy applies to
This Privacy Policy applies to this website and the web design services offered by Jason Tortorete, referred to here as “I,” “me,” or “my.” It covers information collected when you visit the website, submit a project inquiry, or communicate with me about potential or current work.
2. Information collected
I collect information you choose to provide through the project inquiry form or by email. Depending on what you submit, this may include:
- Your name and email address.
- Your business or organization name.
- Your current website address.
- The type of project you are considering.
- How you heard about my services.
- Details about your business, goals, timeline, or other information included in your message.
The website and its hosting or security providers may also process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser and device type, referring page, timestamps, and server or security logs.
3. How information is used
I may use the information collected to:
- Review and respond to project inquiries.
- Discuss, scope, quote, and provide requested services.
- Maintain records related to prospective and current clients.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
- Comply with legal, accounting, or professional obligations.
- Prevent misuse, fraud, or security incidents.
I do not use inquiry information to send unrelated marketing messages unless you separately agree to receive them.
4. When information is shared
I do not sell personal information. I also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
Information may be processed by service providers that help operate the website and deliver inquiries. The contact form uses FormSubmit to transmit the information you enter to my email inbox. Website hosting, infrastructure, email, security, and professional service providers may also process information only as needed to perform their services.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business reorganization or transfer.
5. Cookies and tracking
I do not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or behavioral analytics on this website. The site or its infrastructure providers may use strictly necessary technologies or server logs to deliver, secure, and maintain the website.
Because the website does not currently use tracking for advertising, it does not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals. If the site’s tracking practices materially change, this policy will be updated and any legally required choices will be provided.
6. Retention and security
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries, provide services, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. However, no website, email system, or method of internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not submit passwords, payment information, health information, government identifiers, or other highly sensitive information through the project inquiry form.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also ask what information I have about you or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
To make a request, email jasont.stat@gmail.com. I may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Certain information may be retained where required or permitted by law.
8. Children’s privacy
This website and these services are intended for adults and businesses. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact me so it can be reviewed and deleted as appropriate.
9. Third-party websites and international visitors
This site contains links to websites and services operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
The website and my business are based in the United States. If you visit or submit information from another country, your information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.
10. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as the website, services, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
Questions or requests may be sent to jasont.stat@gmail.com. Jason Tortorete Web Design is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
